Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RegionSelect platform. By creating an account, submitting a service request, or otherwise using RegionSelect, you agree to these Terms. RegionSelect is operated by RegionSelect.

What RegionSelect is

RegionSelect operates a marketplace that connects homeowners with independent home service businesses. Independent field representatives identify homeowner needs and submit service leads, and we route those leads to local businesses.

RegionSelect does not perform home services. Services are performed by independent businesses that are not employees or agents of RegionSelect. We do not guarantee the quality, timing, legality, or outcome of any service, and any dispute regarding work performed is between you and the business that performed it.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your credentials confidential, and to be responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Roles on the platform

  • Homeowners request services, receive quotes, and pay for completed work.
  • Home service businesses receive leads, provide quotes, and perform work. Businesses are solely responsible for holding all licenses, permits, and insurance required for the work they perform.
  • Field representatives are independent 1099 contractors who submit leads and earn commissions on completed jobs. They are not employees of RegionSelect and have no authority to bind RegionSelect or any business.

Quotes, jobs, and payment

Quotes are estimates provided by the business, and final pricing may change based on actual conditions at the property. When you accept a quote and the work is completed, payment is processed through our third-party payment processor. RegionSelect retains a platform fee and remits the remainder to the business and, where applicable, a commission to the field representative. You authorize these charges when you submit payment.

SMS messaging terms

By providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive text messages, you consent to receive SMS messages from RegionSelect related to your service request, including quote notifications, job status updates, payment confirmations, and follow-ups.

  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.
  • Message frequency varies depending on your activity on the platform.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to opt out. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages.
  • Reply HELP for assistance, or email support@regionselect.com.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Our handling of mobile information is described in our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent leads or information.
  • Submit another person's contact information without their permission.
  • Use the platform to send unsolicited or unlawful messages.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform.
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

Intellectual property

The RegionSelect platform, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by RegionSelect and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from it without our written permission.

Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RegionSelect will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of your use of the platform or any services performed by a business found through it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the platform will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to RegionSelect in the six months preceding the claim, or one hundred dollars ($100).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RegionSelect and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. You may stop using the platform and request account deletion at any time.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the platform will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section limits any right you have under California consumer protection law.
